The Maltese archipelago, at the centre of the Mediterranean, with Malta 93km south of Sicily and 288km north of Africa. Malta, Gozo and Comino with a total population of 400,000 inhabitants,  316sq km and a coastline of 196.8km


The largest island is Malta,  Gozo is the second largest island and is more rural, characterised by fishing, tourism, crafts and agriculture while Comino is largely uninhabited.

More and more Tourist like staying in private accommodation. In a self catering apartment, the gues can decide whether to have breakfast at home or go to the seafront and enjoy the breakfast in one of the coffee shops.

Another advantage of having a private accommodation is, you can enjoy cooking.
The fresh vegetable and fish is great in Malta, A special farmers market is several times a week besides green trucks with freash vegatables ad fruist are all over Malta and stay every day in the street close to your holiday accommodation.

Having your own BBQ with fresh fish, go on a Sunday morning and not only see, do buy fresh fish and vegetable and no restaurant can do it better than your on BBQ
on the terracce of the holiday accommodation.

Make sure that your accommodation has a terracce. If not do like the Maltese do, take a small BBQ and go to one of the beaches but bear in mind not every beach you can do BBQ anymore in Malta
